Recebi o teu CD e fiquei impressionado.

“Hello Marcio,

Ernesto Martins (Versus Magazine-Portugal)

_______________________________________________________________________________________________________

“Márcio Falchet is a series of guitar eruptions. Is it still fun to listen to though? Yes, it is for sure! What you get is some kind of Malmsteen (in his best days) meets Satriani meets Vai meets Hendrix, poured with a sauce that exists of classic tones from Beethoven, Bach, Vivaldi, Paganini, Amadeus, Mozart, Chopin and Liszt.”

“From all over the world Márcio Falchet gets compliments for his guitar playing”

“check his site” “This guy has everything it takes, he is a guitar virtuoso and knows how to turn this into beautiful songs”

“Márcio Falchet is going to dethrone someone. Malmsteen has not been innovative for ages (and does not have to) but with Falchet there is a fresh – Brazilian – wind blowing.”

“Márcio Falchet composed, arranged and produced all songs and a new album with fourteen songs.”
“Forthcoming guitar players, amateurs of guitar albums – and aforementioned (guitar) masters – have to listen, no purchase this album! Highly recommended.”

“Brazilian guitarist Márcio Falchet release his debut album last February on which he shows his talents as guitarist, song writer/composer and producer in a style that is a mix of styles like Malmsteen (at his best) Satriani, Vai and Hendrix play, decorated with classical tones of Beethoven, Bach, Vivaldi, Paganini, Mozart, Chopin and Liszt. He controls all rock styles, blues and jazz but chorinho too shows our interview we held with this remarkable musician, who would have become a movie maker or fast advertising guy if he had not ended up in the world of music. Or chemist, or psychologist.”

Arco (Lords of Metal Magazine/ Netherlands)

_______________________________________________________________________________________________________

“Musically, Marcio is all about the guitar.”
“ripping soloing, but he doesn’t overplay either.”
“If you are a fan of international, instrumental Metal albums or a fan of the many great artists on the Shrapnel or Lion Record labels you will want to track this down.”

“Marcio, Keep up the great music!”

Joshua Wood (Metal-Rules Magazine-Canada)

Victor Jorquera (Zero Varius Magazine – Chile)

Translation to English:

"From São Paulo, Brazil, has came to us an album. Quite innovative and good, which has 12 tracks with excellent sound, harmonious guitars, very progressive rhythms, and specially, acoustic guitars which are very "sweets", like I can describe.
Personally I like the acoustic guitar that Márcio show us in his debut album, and it caught/drew very my attention, the mode how he compose his themes, with acoustic melodies, electric melodies and keyboards really suitable for a perfect formula."

"Let us to begin describing "Here I am", it starts with a sweet acoustic guitar, that after a few minutes it turns into a very virtuous theme, where the guitars are clearly excellent.
After "Here I am" comes "Mystery" and "Universal Symphony" followed by "Beautiful eyes" "5-Father" where we can appreciate the guitarist’s quality and the excellent work of Márcio's musicians, which is reflected in this album, instrumental."

"If you're a guitarist and you like good progressive metal, you must listen to this album, which is full of surprises and innovations, this is one of a few times that I listen to an album in which the electric guitars, acoustic guitars and  keyboards, complement each other very well."

Victor Jorquera (Zero Varius Magazine – Chile)

_______________________________________________________________________________________________________

Jorge Patacas (Rise Metal Magazine-Uruguay)

Translation to English:

"Márcio shows all his virtuosity in twelve tracks."

"Basically, this is an album that can be enjoyed by both, guitarists and those who are not, but if you're one of those who love the six strings, you will have an additional pleasure, because you will find arrangements of all kinds."

"When we listen to Marcio’s CD, we can see influences of masters guitarists like Joe Satriani, Steve Vai or Yngwie Malmsteen in the fragments that go more to the neoclassical style direction, but also exist, very interesting acoustic sections, directed passages to the progressive and keyboards that give a special supply to the compositions."

Jorge Patacas (Rise Metal Magazine-Uruguay)

Márcio Falchet is a very young guitar player from São Paulo. Since a young age he plays classical and electric guitar. He won already some awards as teenager and made a video clip. In the age of 20 he started to record songs for a solo CD and released it 2 years later. It is very unusual to make a solo guitar album in this age, but after listening you will realize, that this album has great class! His play is more classical, in the style of Malmsteen and Blackmore, but has also a lot of other influences. It is made very diverse and almost all songs are instrumentals and only one song is with vocals.

Márcio has a great talent. He is one of the rare Brazilian musician to appear in the Guitar Player Magazine USA , one of the most important magazines about guitars of the world. It has an article about him and his work:

HOT GUITARIST ALERT!
Like Paganini plugged into a Marshall half-stack, Márcio Falchet plays neo-classical solos with such scorching speed and intensity it’s a wonder the neck on his Fender Strat doesn’t burst into flames. Tackling everything from Spanish guitar etudes to monster riffs à la Ritchie Blackmore to Yngwie Malmsteen inspired baroque assaults, Falchet has a passion for the electric guitar that shines brightly in each of the ten-zillion notes he plays. But before you risk snapping your tendons on any of his volcanic cadenzas, try warming your fingers up on the moody arpeggios in Ex. 1. These languid tapestries in the key of Gminor are borrowed from Falchet’s song “Sorcery”. Whether you play them fast or slow, fingerstyle or with a pick, they are a hypnotic example of the magic that one ringing open string-in this case, a recurring open G-can generate within a series of chords. Now, step on your distortion pedal and try the attention-grabbing six-note flurries in Ex. 2, which come from Falchet’s galloping Bbgroove “Light for Everything”. Each figure is played four times per measure, and it’s the sweeps of the pick (as well as the pull-offs from the highest note in each cluster) that make it humanly possible to play this riff at the brisk tempo indicated.

Mick Madness, American guitar-player & vocalist, talks about Márcio Falchet:

03) Which are your musical influences? Which are your favorite artists?
Mick Madness:
My musical influences start with Yngwie Malmsteen, Eddie Van Halen, Steve Vai, Warren De Martini and all the way to the present time with new greats like Marcio Falchet. I discovered Marcio in an American guitar magazine. He had a guitar exercise that was really difficult to play and that won my respect. I soon after discovered his music and his friendship.
